Pome-Green, a revolutionary dietary supplement developed by Maxi Health Research Inc. contains a combination of some of the most powerful antioxidants, such as Green Tea, Pomegranate and Blueberry Extracts to help support and maintain overall good health.
Green tea catechins (Camellia sinensis) have been found to have a number of antioxidant activities, including scavenging of such reactive oxygen species as superoxide, hydroxyl and peroxyl radicals.
Pome-Green™ contains a super potent standardized extract of Green Tea (450 mg), which contains 95% Polyphenols, and 40% Epigallocatechin-3 P-gallate (EGCG). Much of the research has been done with EGCG, one of the main constituents in Green Tea, and it appears to have the greatest antioxidant activity of all the green tea catechins.
Pomegranate (punca granatum) is enjoying a surge of popularity due to greater awareness of its benefits. Pomegranate juice is remarkably rich in antioxidants, such as soluble polyphenols, tannins, and anthocyanins, which scavenge free radicals and help prevent DNA damage that can lead to a number of serious health conditions.
The most powerful, functional antioxidants in pomegranate are punicalagins, collectively known as punicosides. Pomegranate juice has been studied and shown to provide an array of health benefits, which have been extensively promoted in reputable health journals.
The Pomegranate in Pome-Green™ is from the brand Pomegranate 40p; its advantage over competitive pomegranate products originates from the fact that it is standardized to water-soluble punicosides and not solvent soluble ellagic acid. P40p pomegranate extract provides its antioxidant benefits via an array of polyphenols present in the fruit’s seeds, husk, pomegranate juice, P40p is particularly rich in punicalagins.
P40p has a superior punicalagin profile, as well as higher phenolics content, in comparison to the leading commercially available juice. Plus P40p contains none of the sugar, carbs and calories and potential allergens found in the juice.
Blueberry extract (Vaccinium corymbocum); researchers at the USDA Human Nutrition Center (HNRCA) have found that blueberries rank #1 in antioxidant activity when compared to 40 other fresh fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful by-products of metabolism called "free radicals" that can lead to some age related diseases.
